Google Analytics

Google Analytics 4 measures visits, pages viewed, general traffic sources, approximate location, device and browser information, and interactions such as opening a restaurant or clicking a reservation link. NYCMenuMap does not intentionally send names, email addresses, phone numbers, or other directly identifying information to Google Analytics.

Google explains how it uses information from sites that use its services in its privacy documentation. You can also use Google’s Analytics opt-out browser add-on.

Device-local preferences

The site stores the time you dismiss the Buy Me a Coffee prompt in your browser so it stays closed for two days. This preference remains on your device and is not used to identify you.

Anonymous feedback

If you use the feedback form, NYCMenuMap stores the category, message, page address, submission time, and whether the message has been reviewed. The form does not ask for or save your name, email address, IP address, or browser details. Please do not include personal information in your message.

A short-lived, one-time form token and an aggregate traffic limit reduce automated spam without identifying visitors. The token is used only to prevent duplicate submissions and is not tied to an IP address or browser profile. Feedback is visible only in the password-protected site inbox and may also be delivered to the site owner by email.
